Members of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students from the University at Albany volunteer their time each Friday to help out with our school-aged FUN Friday drop-in program. MAPS members give their time to support and mentor the children around our Community Center.
Albany United Methodist Society is located in the West Hill Neighborhood in Albany. We are always seeking volunteers for our Food Pantry, Children's Ministries, Neighborhood Garden, and Educational Programs that we run at the 340 First Family Community Center.
Our mission is to be in right relationship with all people. To focus on and meet the needs of the people of Albany in social, economic, and political crises. We will nurture spiritual growth and build individual and collective community, responsibility, accountability, and a sense of self worth.
We are just getting ready to start planting our Neighborhood Garden and we need your help to make it happen. Find out how to be involved in this project.
AUMS after school is in full swing Monday-Friday 2:30-5pm through June. We have opportunities for volunteers with homework help, presentations, snack and recreation! Please call for info.
